What to expect at Waukegan Immediate Care?

Waukegan Immediate Care provides quality health care with convenient hours. We focus on our patients and we strive to make your experience as comfortable as possible. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and asked to sign in and complete a brief registration form if it's your first time visiting. You will also need to bring in your photo ID and insurance card if you have one. Once your registration is complete, a medical assistant will check your vital signs and review your medical history. A physician or physician assistant will then examine you, discuss your diagnosis and provide any prescription needed. ***If you are experiencing an acute condition (e.g., chest pain, shortness of breath, or severe abdominal pain), please inform the front desk immediately on arrival.

When should I go to the Emergency Room?

Waukegan Immediate Care is NOT a substitute for an emergency room for life threatening emergencies. You should use a hospital's Emergency room for serious medical problems. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room immediately:

Immediate care is the prompt evaluation and treatment of most non-life threatening illnesses and injuries. When you can't get in to see your physician and you have an unexpected illness or injury that does not pose a life threatening danger to yourself, Waukegan Immediate Care is here for you.

Appointments are not necessary at Waukegan Immediate Care; you may walk in at any time and request to be seen.

Bring your insurance card, government issued photo identification (i.e. driver license), and any other medical information that may be helpful. If you do not carry a list of your current medications, simply bring in your medication bottles.
